A lot has happened within the last week. My brother, Justin and his wife Meredith, took a blitz trip to visit us here in Florida. They arrived last Tuesday and left on Monday, the 26th. They couldn't have come at a better time. The weather was warm and beautiful and our base, Tyndall AFB, was putting on an airshow. We were able to go to the beach, Justin and Meredith were able to swim with dolphins, and we were able to see the Navy's Blue Angels perform. We had such a good time.
While we were at the air show on Saturday, the 24th, Tim, Mike's brother was at the hospital waiting for his first son to be born. I posted some pictures already of the new addition to the Power family.
On top of watching jets, swimming with dolphins, playing in the sand, burning our shoulders and lips (yes, I burnt my lips and ended up getting fever blisters on my lips), waiting for the phone to ring to say we had a new nephew in the family, our refridgerator broke down. I just bought a butt load of meat and milk. On Sunday morning we woke to warm food and milk from the fridge. The meat had thawed a little, not too bad. We were able to save most of our food by putting everything in coolers with lots and lots of ice. We had to keep the coolers in the kitchen because it was so hot outside. As the ice melted in the coolers, water leaked all over our kitchen floor. Oh! what fun! The fridge repair man wasn't able to come until Tuesday morning. Of course, two days after our guest leave. That's ok. We all went to dinner at a really nice place before Justin & Meredith had to leave. The food was delish and the company was better than we could have asked for. We had a wonderful time.
I posted some pictures of Max Power and of our weekend with Justin & Meredith. I put in a picture of myself to show you that I am getting a small belly. OK, so it's a big belly. The baby part is small and the fat part is big from eating so darn much! I'm eating for two, right?
