Arborway T.T. & Northwestern

The older Power kids wearing their conductors hats and blowing on their train whistles. Both items compliments of Woodsvalley Farm.

The whole Power family.

Last weekend Mike, Will, and I took a trip to Steelville, Missouri. Home of the Arborway T.T. & Northwestern Railway, owned by John Woods, Mike's Mom's boss.
Becky, my mother-in-law, and her co-worker/friend/third cousin once removed organized a family fun day at the Woodsvalley Farm. John Woods loves trains. He constructed a mini railway on his 35oo acre farm. Needless to say, it was incredible!
The day was in the cool 60's and sunny. Gorgeous! We arrived, checked-in and put on our family color-coded t-shirts (there were two other families to contend with), and took our first ride ever on a train. We had a bar-b-que (which included bbq ribs, you can't beat that!) and took more train rides around the farm. All in all, the day was perfect. I think I can vouch for the whole Power family that we all had a great time. Thanks to Becky, Carol, and John for their generosity in making a day like this a chance in a lifetime.

On Saturday evening we left the farm for St. Louis and stayed at Tim & Jessie's (Mike's brother and sister-in-law). William and their son, Max, who just turned 1, had a great time getting to know eachother, again. Some of the adorable pictures of them were taken at Tim & Jessie's house.

On Sunday evening we had dinner with my side of the family. Mandy prepared a delicious dinner, as usual, and we had a good time just sitting and chatting. Thanks to Robert & Erica, Jeremiah & Mandy, and Justin & Meredith for coming together under such short notice. We're sorry we couldn't visit with Mom & Dad and James & Eryn as they were in Arizona visiting James' parents.
